KARACHI: Police on Friday night arrested an important suspect of metropolitan city’s infamous gang war from Pak Colony, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) stated.
According to police, a raid was conducted late on Friday night led to the arrest of Sheraz alias Dakait, nephew of major gang war suspect Sajid Wajid alias Dakait, with security forces recovering a large stash of weapons and contraband.
City District Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Samiullah Soomro said that Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) arrested suspect was found to be the brother of a local sub-inspector. He was the leader of the den.
Soomro added that the suspect was secretly running the gambling den from his home.
Police further said that the suspect was wanted in cases of murder, attempt murder, police encounters and extortion. He was also named in the murder case of three brothers-Haji Kashif, Asif alias Ao, and Saqib alias Sikku.
As per authorities, Sheraz was running contraband dens of his uncle Sajid Wajid and Majid Turbati.
