Lt Gen Nadeem Raza appointed Chief of General Staff as Army’s top brass reshuffled

RAWALPINDI: The Army on Friday appointed Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza as Chief of General Staff (CGS) as part of a major reshuffle in the Army hierarchy.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the transfers and postings saw Lieutenant General Raza replace Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar, who has now been appointed as Rawalpindi 10 Corps commander.

Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza has been appointed as Communication and IT inspector general, Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz as Karachi five Corps commander, Lieutenant General Muhammad Naeem Ashraf as Multan two Corps commander and Lieutenant General Abdullah Dogar as Heavy Industries Taxila Chairman.
