ISLAMABAD: Former International Cricket Council (ICC) president Ehsan Mani who has been nominated for the post of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed issues pertaining to the Board.
During the meeting, Mani expressed gratitude to PM Khan for reposing trust in him by nominating him for the prized post.
He said he was contacting members of the Board’s governing body to garner their support for the election of the PCB chief. If elected, he said that he will live up to the expectations of the premier.
The new prime minister on Monday announced that he has appointed Ehsan Mani as the replacement of Najam Sethi.
Mani became the President of the ICC in June 2003. He has previously represented PCB in the ICC from 1989 to 1996. Khan believes his vast experience will be handy for Pakistan cricket.
