CM Buzdar determined to take everyone forward as a team

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday said that he was determined to take everyone forward as a team and serve the masses while taking all decisions in consultation with the provincial high-ups.

Presiding a meeting held during his visit to the Planning & Development Department, the chief minister said that agenda of his leader Imran Khan was public service alone, adding that all stakeholders would have to jointly fulfill this mission for the welfare of the people.

He also assured the officials that no reshuffling would take place with the change of government. “My support is with you and I will continue to stand behind you,” he said, announcing that he would also make functional the office of chief minister at the Civil Secretariat.

“As I have come to the P&D Department, I shall also visit other departments develop necessary liaison with the officials there.”

CM Buzdar also announced to visit districts and divisional headquarters and said that jointly, they had to improve the quality of life of the poor people in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“South Punjab will also be developed in real sense. I realise the poor conditions of the people living there and am determined to work for them,” he said and reiterated that good governance would be promoted while corruption would not be tolerated at any cost.

“Corrupt elements will have no role in Naya Pakistan. We have to transform Imran Khan’s dream of a new Pakistan into reality and the people will be served with passion and commitment. Let’s help the prime minister complete his journey of change,” said Buzdar.

Earlier, the chief minister was given a briefing about four months’ development budget and ongoing annual development programme of Punjab.

P&D chairman also apprised the chief minister about budgetary details and targets of annual development programme in the meeting that was attended by the chief secretary, provincial secretaries and other officials concerned.
