ISLAMABAD: Rain-thunder shower with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, and Kashmir while hot and humid weather will grip other parts of the country on the first day of Eid Wednesday.
Rainfall is likely in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha and Faisalabad divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir during the time span.
During the last 24 hours, the weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower occurred at isolated places in Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Lahore divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir.
Rainfall recorded during the time duration was: Punjab: Gujranwala 80mm, Sialkot (A/P 49mm, Cantt 39mm), Gujrat 37mm, Rawalpindi (Shamsabad) 17mm, Lahore (A/P 12mm, PBO Trace), Islamabad (Saidpur 06mm, Z.P Trace), Jhelum 01mm, Kashmir: Garidupatta 06mm and Kotli 04mm.
The maximum temperature recorded on Monday was: Nokkundi 46°C, Dalbandin 45°C, Quetta and Gilgit 39°C, Faisalabad and Multan 38°C, Lahore 37°C, Hyderabad 36°C, Islamabad 35°C, Dir 34°C and Karachi 31°C.
