Police arrested two Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporters from outside the Adiala Jail on charges pertaining to showering convicted former prime minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s convoy with rose petals and interference into police matters.
The detained PML-N workers were identified as Afzal Mehmood from Lahore and Yasir Ahmed from Gujranwala.
Saddar Station House Officer (SHO) Javed Siddique said, “We have lodged a First Information Report against the two accused under sections 353/182 of PPC and put them behind the bars.”
