Rabbani submits resolution for placement of financial agreements in parliament

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Raza Rabbani put forward a resolution before the Senate Secretariat demanding that details of financial agreements signed with the International Monetary Fund (IMP) and on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor during the last four years be placed before the parliament.

The resolution states, “this House calls upon the federal government to lay in parliament all financial agreements entered into by the government of Pakistan during the past four years, including the agreements with the IMF and [on] CPEC.

The PPP senator also submitted an adjournment motion to discuss Pakistan-US relationship in light of the developments commencing with the statement of the US secretary of state on Aug 1 this year.
