Unlike protest in the National Assembly (NA) during Friday’s election for prime minister, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) may not protest during the election for chief minister of Punjab, a report in a local media informed.
Sources revealed many leaders within the party were not in favour of protests. Any protests may be responded back by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s members of Provincial Assembly during the opposition leader’s speech, Hamza Shehbaz. Hence, senior leaders want the elections and speeches to go smoothly.
PTI chairman Imran Khan on Friday announced a new name for the coveted position of Punjab’s chief minister, Muhammad Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar, while the PML-N decided to continue with its choice of Hamza Shehbaz.
