CJP directs IGP to submit report on Nalain Pak theft

LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Friday directed Inspector General of Police, to submit an investigation report on the theft of Nalain-Pak from Badshahi Mosque, local media reports have informed.

The top judge passed the order on complaint moved by Pir SA Jafree regarding the failure of the government authorities to arrest the culprits at the Supreme Court Lahore registry.

The complainant said that the holy shoe was stolen from the Royal Mosque in 2002 and since then he had been making efforts for its recovery and requesting for action against the culprits.

CJP Nisar expressed grave concern over the matter and directed the Punjab’s police chief to investigate the matter and present a report on it.
