Imran Khan to win prime minister elections, says Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry on Friday asserted that party Chairman Imran Khan will receive 180 votes in elections for the slot of prime minister.

Country’s next prime minister will be elected by the parliamentarians during the National Assembly session at 3:30 today.

Fawad said that out of 330 members of National Assembly that are expected to vote, 175 are allies of PTI.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif will contest election against Imran.

Just one day before the elections, Pakistan People’s Party refused to support Shehbaz; however, Shehbaz is expected to receive 97 votes if MMA supports him.
