An Islamabad High Court (IHC) division bench hearing a case filed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) pertaining to foreign funding remarked that “political parties should be open and transparent”.
Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb were hearing the case.
Moreover, Justice Minallah said that political parties should be completely transparent about all of their affairs.
The judge questioned, “How is it prejudicial to any political party if any citizen seeks scrutiny of funds?”
“If prejudice is caused then it is fine but otherwise it should be welcomed,” he added.
