ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday criticised the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members for protesting outside accountability court.

As convicted former prime minister Nawaz Sharif appeared before the accountability court hearing the remaining two corruption references against him and his family on Wednesday, a large number of PML-N members gathered outside the court in protest.

Addressing the media, the PTI spokesman said, “if PML-N continued to disrupt court proceedings, then there is a chance Sharif’s jail trial will be reviewed.”

He added, “A list of names of those who wish to attend the hearing should be submitted beforehand so that the court can review the names according to audience capacity.”

“But if you bring along a crowd that tries to attack the court, this behaviour will not be tolerated,” he added.

When asked about the alliance between PML-N and Pakistan’s Peoples Party (PPP), he said the alliance cannot last long.

He also said, “the alliance between the two parties is unnatural, which cannot last long.”
