‘KASHMIRIS PRAY FOR PEACE IN PAKISTAN’:
In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq greeted all people of Pakistan on Independence Day, and prayed for peace and tranquility of the country.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a message hoped that Pakistan would “keep supporting the genuine struggle of people of Jammu Kashmir as they have done in the past.”
Congratulating Pakistan, the Mirwaiz said the Kashmiri people pray for peace and tranquility of Pakistan, Kashmir Media Service reported on Tuesday.
Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani said the continuity of the democratic process would usher a new era of development and prosperity in the country.
Talking to media after national flag hoisting ceremony, Sanjrani said we must take into account our past mistakes under a self-accountability process and review the factors hindering our national development in comparison to the other nations.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari, while felicitating the nation, said that the people will have to come out of ambit of fear now.
In his message in connection with Independence Day celebrations he said, “We salute to those who have sacrificed their lives in war on terror. The nation will have to come out of cobweb of fear.”
He held that the PPP will transform Pakistan into a democratic, progressive and welfare state.
AIR CHIEF VOWS TO PROMOTE CLEANLINESS:
On the auspicious occasion, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force addressed all personnel of PAF.
Addressing the audience, the Air Chief said that while we remain focused on the operational preparedness of the PAF, it was also our sacred duty to contribute towards the prosperity of the country through nation building measures. In this regard, he gave his resolve for making Pakistan Air Force clean, green and a compassionate organization.
The Air Chief also launched the monsoon tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling in the premises of the Air Headquarters. At the same time, more than 100,000 saplings were planted by various personnel of the PAF all across the PAF regional air commands. Over five million saplings would be planted in the ongoing drive all across PAF bases and formations. The Air Chief also urged PAF families and specially the youth to come forward for the noble cause and plant as many trees as they can to bring green revolution in the country. The Air Chief stated that this campaign would not only contribute towards making Pakistan an environmental-friendly country but also help improve our eco system. He also stressed upon the need of conserving water to deal with the impending issue of water scarcity in the country.

Balochsitan High Court (BHC) Chief Justice Muhammad Noor Meskanzai said an implementation of law is significant for stability of country.
He said this while addressing at ceremony of National Flag hosting at Balochistan High Court.
Justice Noor said democracy and prosperity of the country are linked with implantation of law.
He said it was responsibility of all people including lawyers and others to ensure strengthening of democratic institutions for battement of state.
“We should work hard day and night for progressing of country,” he said and adding that measures would be taken for eradicating of corruption which was essential for developing of country.
He urged lawyers that they would play their effective role for ensuring of justice in the area.
