A man allegedly threw acid on his wife, inflicting burn injuries following a domestic dispute on Monday.
It was reported by the Factory Area police that the suspect, Sabir Ali scuffled with his wife, Bushra Bibi, over a minor issue and threw acid on her in a fit of rage.
Following the incident, he fled the scene leaving the wife seriously injured.
Bushra was later shifted to the nearby hospital and an investigation into the incident was initiated by the police.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a man was allegedly murdered by his relatives over a property dispute in the Sabzazar area.
It was initially reported that the victim, Ali Butt had a dispute with his cousins over a piece of land.
Following an exchange of harsh words from both sides, Ali’s cousins attacked him with clubs and injured him critically.
However, he was pronounced dead after he was taken to the hospital.
A case has been lodged against the suspects on the complaint of deceased’s wife.
