Former Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) executive director Dr Raja Amjad claimed during a Senate Standing Committee on Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) meeting that a “corrupt” sweeper had him removed from his post.

The former executive director alleged that a bureaucrat presently facing the Ashiana housing scheme case was involved in the process and removed him at the sweeper’s request.

Dr Amjad claimed that he had moved against the allegedly corrupt sweeper and his accomplices following which he was “suddenly removed via fax”.
