Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) forms were recovered from a tandoor in Islamabad amid allegations of rigging by opposition parties during the recently conducted general elections, a local media outlet reported on Sunday.
ECP spokesperson Nadeem Qasim claimed the incident was a conspiracy against the commission.
Residents of the capital city were being sold bread wrapped in ECP forms including form-46 from various parts of Punjab.
The tandoor owner said that a scrap dealer had sold him the papers.
The ECP spokesperson explained that the ECP documents cannot be sold in the market and are regulated under a proper system. He added that it was impossible for the documents to be leaked.
