Pakistan will celebrate its Independence Day, August 14, on Tuesday and patriotism is in the air.

Over the years, Pakistani musicians, singers, and bands have created some iconic national songs and here are top 15 songs, we have heard since our childhood.

1. Dil Dil Pakistan by Vital Signs is without a doubt top national song of Pakistan and the number is not only famous in Pakistan but abroad too and has become a second national anthem for the country.

2. This number Yeh Watan Tumhara Hay by legendary singer Mehdi Hassan has been giving goosebumps to the Pakistanis for many decades and considered as a most emotional national number.

3. Azaadi by Junoon is without a doubt one of the passionate and with true Rock touch of the band.

4. Dil Say by Haroon is a beautiful number and with his video, showing the journey of a family since independence is apt to the song.

5. Ay Jawan by one of the top bands of the 90s and 2000s, Awaz, became an instant hit, especially its dance steps, at the time of its release and still holds its charm and patriotism.
