LAHORE: Eidul Azha is approaching and everyone has started to focus on preparations, including buying sacrificial animals, besides purchasing clothes and other necessities.
People especially men and the youth are busy in buying animals whereas women have started to visit markets in order to shop collection of dresses and bangles for themselves and family.
All major markets and shopping malls in the city become crowded due to Eid activity.
According to women, prices of clothes are high and it has become difficult to buy beautiful clothes on Eid, however, without shopping, there is no enjoyment.
Samina Saeed, a woman in Ichra Bazaar, told this scribe that she had only purchased clothes for children because prices were too high.
“As the weather is very hot and humid so shopping clothes is a difficult job due to selected options,” she added.
Sajid Ali, a shopkeeper, said prices were high due to the manufacturers’ rates, adding that wholesalers were bound to purchase clothes at high prices.
