PPP will fulfil BB’s promise to save Pakistan: Bilawal


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday said that the party is resolute in its ideology and its slogan and promise made by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to save Pakistan.

He expressed the views during a meeting of PPP parliamentary party held at Zardari House Islamabad. The meeting was jointly chaired by PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

Congratulating the newly elected members, Bilawal said that politics of PPP is based on the issues concerning the people of Pakistan. The country needs tolerance, peace and progress and PPP is dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations of people of Pakistan, he added.

PPP chairman said that his party will raise issues of people in the parliament, treading the path of democracy and will continue to fight for the rights of people.

Asif Ali Zardari also addressed the gathering and said that PPP will continue to strengthen democracy. He said that the party achieved excellent results in Sindh and now we need to focus on Punjab, KP and Balochistan.

He said that South Punjab province is PPP’s mission and we want South Punjab to develop and prosper.

Addressing the members, Zardari said that PPP will follow its manifesto from the opposition benches, for which we all have to work together so that the last victory will be of people of Pakistan.

PPP Secretary General Farhatullah Babar, former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, former opposition leader in National Assembly Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Senate Opposition Leader Sherry Rehman, Senate Deputy Chairman Salim Mandviwala, Spokesman to the PPP chairman Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Political Secretary to the former president Asif Zardari, Spokesman to former president Rukhsana Bangash, Amir Fida Paracha, Jamil Soomro and Fouzia Habib were also present on the occasion.
