Larkana police kill suspected bandit in ‘encounter’

LARKANA: Waleed Police Larkana on Sunday claimed to have killed a notorious dacoit, Ali Gohar Shaikh, in an alleged encounter at Arab Pir area.

The bandit was carrying a head money of Rs1 million. Police said that the gangster was a member of a notorious gang, which was first headed by another dacoit Nazroo Narejo and after his killing he was working for yet another most wanted dacoit Pathan Narejo who is still at large.

The killed bandit had martyred three gunmen of the then Khairpur SSP in 2012.  These gunmen included Bashir Jamro and Sobhal Malah. He was also involved in kidnapping of Mrs Aam and Gada Hussain from the limits of Sadiq Kalhoro Police Station of Khairpur district and was wanted by Larkana and Khairpur police in over 30 cases of heinous nature which included abduction for ransom and murders. He was residing in Shah Belo.
