IGP orders to ensure foolproof security on Independence Day

KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Amjad Javed Saleemi on Sunday ordered foolproof security throughout Sindh on the occasion of 71st Independence Day.

IGP said that effective steps should be taken against one-wheeling on roads, vehicles having substandard silencers creating noise and those who bath in the sea.

Saleemi said that all Station House Officers (SHO) should make security arrangements in their supervision in their respective areas besides being present there on the eve of the Independence Day.

He said that extraordinary security should also be ensured in and out of the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Snap checking, surveillance and secret monitoring measures and operation against crime should be accelerated in the province, particularly in Karachi.

IGP said that crackdown on crime at district and zone level should be conducted. Security arrangements for the events on the Independence Day should be ensured at police station level.
