ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday wrote a letter to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to investigate the alleged corrupt practices of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi.
The letter was written by PTI leader Javaid Badar in which he demanded the anti-graft agency body to launch a probe against the PCB chairman.
The letter stated that Najam Sethi was involved in corruption with regards to the launch and activities of Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to which he wasn’t letting the PSL audit report to be made public. Earlier, a letter was written to the PCB chairman to make audit report public.
The PTI leader in his letter appealed the NAB to immediately take the PSL record in custody. The letter further accused Sethi of failing to make the PSL a successful event.
Earlier, a report alleging Sethi of financial and administrative irregularities had been submitted to PM-designate Imran Khan.
The PCB chairman had allegedly appointed friends and close family members on high-level posts. Naila Bhatti was awarded the post of the director just three months after her appointment. Likewise, Aun Zaidi was promoted to the post of assistant manager of PCB’s social media wing, the report claimed.
