ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has fired two of its employees after they confessed to have sexually assaulting a 20-year-old girl in broad daylight at the Fatimah Jinnah Park here in Islamabad.
The Department of Parks/Environment has issued the notification of their dismissal, saying the duo have booked in an FIR with the Margalla Police for threatening, extortion and sexually assaulting a young woman. The F9 Park Administration described the act as violation of rules and human value and expressed regret over it.
On August 2, the girl was blackmailed, extorted and raped by the CDA officials after she visited the park with her male mate. The CDA officials had pressurized and threaten the couple and said they would take them to the police and also inform their families.
The employees were paid Rs2,000 by the couple and were told by the CDA employees to exit through separate exits. The girl was then taken to a corner and was sexually assaulted by one of the men. After the assault, the accused threatened to kill her if she reached out to anyone and then fled the crime scene.
