ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People Party’s (PPP) leader and former leader of the opposition in National Assembly Khursheed Shah Wednesday said that his party will not become a threat for the government of Imran Khan.
Talking to the media in Islamabad, Shah expressed his party’s intentions in the parliament saying, “We’ll give full opportunity to Imran Khan to run the government. We’ll play the role of opposition but we’ll not become a threat for their government.”
“We also want that Imran Khan should implement his 100 days programme and we’ll not become a hurdle on the way to implementation of this programme,” he added.
The PPP leader also said, “But we will record a peaceful protest against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) because ECP lent support to a particular party.”
Shah further said that the peaceful protest will continue against the ECP as all of the parties have reservation against the ECP except PTI.
Replying to a question by a media person he said, “We don’t want to become a threat for the system as the country is facing serious challenges and all of us together will have to combat these challenges successfully.”
