MANSEHRA: Saleh Mohammad Khan, an independent candidate from NA-13, Mansehra-I, kept his seat after seven days of vote recounting.
According to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Saleh Mohammad secured 108,950 votes while Sardar Shah Jahan Yousuf of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured 107,114 votes.
Earlier, PML-N placed a request for the electoral votes to be recounted and refused to accept the results. In the last general elections, Saleh Muhammad won a seat to the provincial assembly on a PML-N ticket. He resigned from the party before contesting for General Elections 2018.
Saleh Muhammad met Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan last week and announced his plans to join PTI.
