RAWALPINDI: Following the defeat in Rawalpindi during the 2018 polls, the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leadership have decided to put in efforts to end differences between the leadership and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

According to a local media report, a senior party leader was quoted as that the since the party has lost many seats in the district, it is time for them to unite and stay together.

He further said, “Efforts were being made to arrange a meeting between the PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif and Chaudhry Nisar at Adiala Jail,” adding that it is important to bring Chaudhry Nisar on board because “his leadership qualities always helped the local leaders to handle complicated issues in the Potohar region”.

He said the PML-N wanted to end its internal differences before the by-elections in NA-60 and NA-59 Rawalpindi and had started a discussion on the issue at the higher level of the party.
