NAB to probe govt officials receiving salaries over Rs1.5m

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to launch an investigation against the government officers who are currently receiving a monthly salary of more than Rs1.5 million.

The anti-graft body has sought the list of the officers from its regional offices through a letter.

It said that the NAB will look into how the said officers were appointed. It also sought the record of salaries received by the officers.

Earlier it was learnt that Pakistan State Oil (PSO) director general was receiving Rs3.7 million monthly salary. The NAB has sought details from AGPO establishment in this regard.
