Imran refuses VVIP protocol, wants just four vehicles for security

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and PM-in waiting Imran Khan reportedly expressed his annoyance over the VVIP protocol given to him on Monday.

Earlier in the day, when Imran left his residence for a private hotel in Islamabad to attend the parliamentary meeting of PTI, the local authorities provided him prime minister-level protocol by halting the public transport on his route.

The PTI chief has asked the Islamabad police to take back their additional protocol vehicles, the report said, adding that Khan does not want the additional protocol to disturb the people.

According to directions given by Imran to PTI leader Naeemul Haq, the PM-in waiting only wants four security vehicles with him, including a jammer car.

Further, Naeemul Haq told media that Imran Khan will live in the chief minister’s annex of Punjab House.
