ISLAMABAD: The European Union (EU) Ambassador in Pakistan, Jean-François Cautain called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan at Bani Gala on Monday and greeted him over the victory of his party in the 2018 General Elections.
Senior PTI leaders including Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umer and Central Secretary for Foreign Affairs Dr Shahzad Waseem were also present during the meeting.
Jean-François Cautain, greeting the PTI chairman, expressed his hope that the new government to be formed under his leadership will further promote bilateral relations besides improving business ties.
He said that EU has tied great hopes with the upcoming government of PTI as it is being led by a committed leader and comprises the members capable of changing any scenario.
Speaking on the occasion, PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that improving relations with countries, especially the neighbours, would be the top priority of his government.
He said that Pakistan highly values bilateral ties with EU and desires to improve and strengthen them further.
