A number of buildings constructed on state land were demolished in Gujranwala by the municipal corporation under the supervision of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), a local media outlet reported on Saturday.
According to reports, 247-kanal land had been acquired by the municipal corporation to construct a zoo but over a 100 kanal were sold off by influential people. An investigation by NAB was followed by directives to demolish the structures. Police was deployed at the site with the demolition process initiated on Saturday morning.
