Housing society office bearers’ residences raided by NAB, ‘corruption evidence recovered’

Ministry of Commerce Employees Cooperative Housing Society’s office bearers’ houses were raided by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and documents were retrieved that allegedly proved their involvement in corrupt activities.

Residences of former society president Rana Ghulam Farid and society General Secretary Mazhar Hussain were raided.

Documents including deposit slips records, membership files, membership transfer letters and Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) were reportedly recovered.

All documents had been illegally kept, according to Rawalpindi NAB.

Moreover, the anti-graft body arrested both the accused.
