Director of the hit Pakistani film, Karachi Se Lahore, Wajahat Rauf, recently announced that a third installment of the film titled Karachi Se Lahore 3 is in the works.
Taking to Instagram, Rauf shared a poster of the upcoming film and wrote, “Showcase Films and IMGC team up once again after the success of their 2015 box office hit Karachi se Lahore.”
“The road trip might have ended but the third installment of Wajahat Rauf’s franchise films penned by Yasir Hussain promises a full doze of non-stop entertainment. KSL3 is stirring up and is set to release on Eidul Fitr 2019!” the post continued.
“No road trip? What’s cooking here? Can you guess what the third sequel to Karachi Se Lahore will bring to the screen?” Rauf signed off.

Chairman IMGC group Sheikh Amjad Rasheed said, “It is a matter of pleasure and privilege for the IMGC group to once again be associated with Mr Wajahat Rauf of Showcase Films. Our experiences both in time delivery, personal relationship and successful turnover is unique with this group.”
As for the cast of the third film is concerned, both Zara Noor Abbas and her husband Asad Siddiqui have confirmed that they will be part of the film. Sharing the film’s poster on their respective Instagram handles, they wrote, “Bismillah! GET READY FOR 2019! Really excited yet nervous to announce this. Joined the KSL Team!”

Ayesha Omar also shared the film’s poster on her Instagram handle with the hashtag ‘details to follow.’
A report by a leading film tabloid, Galaxy Lollywood stated that the cast for the film includes Yasir Hussain, Kubra Khan, Asad Siddiqui, Zara Noor Abbas, Shahzad Sheikh and Ayesha Omar in leading roles. Kubra and Shahzad are yet to confirm the news.
The first two films were centred around road trips. Karachi Se Lahore featured Shehzad Sheikh, Ayesha Omar, Javed Sheikh and Yasir Hussain in pivotal roles, while the sequel, Lahore Se Aagay, starred Saba Qamar and Yasir Hussain.
