Rumours confirmed! Transporter starring Tareen to be first ISPR sponsored Hollywood film

(Disclaimer: this is a work of fiction. Learn to take a joke; you’ll live longer.)

RAWALPINDI/LOS ANGELES – A fifth Transporter movie is in the works, producers have confirmed, after a screengrab of what could be a potential teaser went viral on social media Tuesday.

The screengrab shows a determined man wearing shades with the word Transporter written on the screen. The potential teaser sent social media into frenzy, with some trying to discern the meaning behind the image.

Producers later confirmed they were working on the fifth installment of the blockbuster franchise that catapulted Jason Statham to fame. They added the movie would serve as a prelude to the Transporter trilogy.

“This film serves as the beginning to what we saw in rest of the Transporter saga. But it isn’t about Frank Martin (the character played by Statham) origins,” said Luc Besson, who co-wrote and produced the original Transporter movie.

“All I can say is that it’s about the original Transporter… The man who started it all. The movie is based on actual events.”

While Besson declined to comment further, one social media user in Pakistan was quick to identify the man as Jahangir Tareen, a politician whose Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party recently won a general election.

“PTI’s Tareen is all set to star in the latest Transporter installment. I believe it’s more of a biopic than a prelude. Take that, you PML-N ****!” wrote the guy named Shah 7.

The Dependent confirmed the reports: not only is the movie definitely happening, it is the first film to be sponsored by the biggest production house in the country, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“Tareen is literally Tehreek-e-Insaf’s transporter. He’s single-handedly taken the party’s count from 116 in National Assembly to a well over 1,600. After Naya Pakistan, welcome to Naya Hollywood!” said one of the producers
