A five-day polio vaccination drive in 16 high-risk districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) from August 6 will cater to approximately 3,627,000 children, a local media outlet reported on Friday.
KP Health Ministry will administer the vaccine to 816,000 children with 13 teams formed for the task.
With assistance from the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), Pakistan has been trying to eradicate the disease from the country.
Only three cases of polio virus infection have been found so far this year.
