ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday accepted the resignation of Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair.
Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani will be the acting governor till the appointment of a new governor.
Muhammad Zubair had sent his resignation to the president on July 28, 2018.
The outgoing Sindh governor took over charge of office after the death of former governor Justice (r) Saeeduz Zaman Siddiqui.
Muhammad Zubair took oath as Sindh governor on February 1, 2017, and after serving for about one and half year tendered the resignation.
