Four suspects in PTI’s Zahra Shahid’s murder case deny involvement

Four suspects in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zahra Shahid’s murder case denied their alleged involvement while recording their statements before an anti-terrorism court (ATC).

The suspects, Mohammad Rashid, alias Master, Zahid Abbas Zaidi, Irfan, alias Lamba, and Kaleem, are charged with allegedly murdering PTI leader Shahid on election eve in front of her house on May 18 in 2013.

The trial is being conducted inside the central prison judicial complex and the statements were recorded under the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) Section 342.

On the other hand, Irfan alleged that he had been taken away by Rangers on March 28 while the murder incident occured on May 18.

He also claimed that his family had already filed a case in the Sindh High Court regarding his alleged disappearance.
