LAHORE – Taking inspiration from Prime Minister in waiting Imran Khan’s win in last week’s general elections, star actor Meera has her sights set on Hollywood.
In her latest Twitter post has requested fans to support her as she aims to start afresh in ‘Naya Pakistan’ and head towards the west.
“With the culmination of Naya Pakistan, I too pledge to embrace my delusions and advent into #Hollywood,” read her tweet. “If Imran Khan can rule Pakistan, I can rule Hollywood,” she added in another tweet.
Meera’s tweet comes after it was revealed that Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to form the government in the centre, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. However, the actor did not appreciate this piece of news or PTI’s achievement and tweeted, “I am a better actor than the Chief of the Election Commission of Pakistan. ISPR, please consider me.”
It is pertinent to mention here that Meera has already working in Bollywood, in the film Nazar. Released in 2005, Nazar was inspired by General Pervez Musharraf’s Referendum win in 2002.
“At the time, Meera jee believed if the referendum provided legitimacy to Musharraf’s political credentials, then Nazar would do the same for her acting credentials,” a close aid of the superstar told The Dependent.
