Group of men ‘assaults’ three transgender persons in Peshawar


PESHAWAR: A group of men allegedly assaulted three transgender persons in Sarband.

The victims stated that they were intercepted by a motorbike and a car while they were travelling.

The victims were also allegedly attacked with knives and their car’s windows were also reportedly smashed.

Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Qazi Jamilur Rehman took notice of the incident after a video went viral on social media.

A three-member police team headed by a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) was subsequently constituted to probe the matter.

Moreover, police arrested two suspects regarding the case.
