TAXILA: A woman was murdered by a man in the Kohsar Colony area on Saturday after she allegedly refused to marry him, a local media outlet reported.
The woman, identified as Rashida Bibi, 22, was shot at in broad daylight when she was travelling on a rickshaw.
The rickshaw driver, identified as Tanveer Ahmed and a passerby named Mustafa Khan received bullet wounds. The injured were shifted to hospital where Rashida succumbed to her injuries.
Rashida’s family members say she refused the marriage proposal because she wanted to marry someone else.
Taxila police have registered a case and have initiated investigations.
