SKARDU: Three teenagers made a world record by climbing the Manglesser peak located within the Karakoram mountain range in the Shimshal valley.
According to a local media report, the height of Manglesser peak is 6,080 metre and was conquered by the granddaughters of the famous local climber in the Hushey Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan; Little Karim.
The conquerors included the 13-year-old Amina Hanif, 14-year-old Maryam Bashir and 15-year-old Siddiqa Batool.,
The young climbers accompanied by their grandfather Little Karim, Mohammad Hanif and nine other climbers, including four foreigners, succeeded in putting their feet on the summit of the Manglesser peak on July 24.
