ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has said that his party is in a strong position to establish its government in Punjab.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that the PTI would get the required numbers for forming its government in the province after including the elected members of its ally party Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) and independent candidates.
He said the PTI would improve governance and bring reforms in the institutions after forming the government.
To a question, Fawad said the on-going development projects would be completed and unlike the previous government, low-cost public transport projects would be launched to provide better-travelling facilities to masses.
PTI INVITES INDEPENDENT AJMAL CHEEMA:
A senior leader of the PTI met with an independent MPA-elect during Saturday night here in Chak Jhumra, as the leading political party continues to work on forming a government.
Senator Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, one of the PTI’s senior members, travelled to Chak Jhumra — reportedly on party chief Imran Khan’s orders — and met Chaudhry Ajmal Cheema, an independent member-elect of the Punjab Assembly, at the latter’s residence.
As the PTI speeds up its work to form a government not only at the centre but at the provincial level also, especially Punjab, Sarwar extended an official invitation to Cheema to join his party.
After the meeting concluded, the PTI official remarked that most of the independent candidates will join his party very soon. The chief minister of Punjab will also be from the PTI, he added.
