KARACHI: Pakistan’s national badminton champion Mahnoor Shahzad has won Annapurna Corporate Invitational International Badminton Tournament Championships 2018 in Nepal.
The tournament was played in Kathmandu from July 23 to July 28, 2018, in which players from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bangladesh participated.
In the final, Mahnoor defeated Nepal’s Rashila Maharajan by 21-15 and 21-10.
In a statement, Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF) stated that the Badminton Asia Confederation has also selected Mahnoor Shahzad for Asia Olympic Project (AOP) Program to train her for the next Olympics.
Mahnoor had earlier won the women singles in Pakistan International Series 2017 held in Islamabad from 9th to 12th November 2017.
