ISLAMABAD: A verdict handed down by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) regarding enforced disappearances was challenged by the ministries of interior and defence, and the capital’s district administration.
In the verdict, the court had declared enforced disappearance as an act of terrorism and subsequently, those involved in the heinous act could be charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
An IHC division bench will take up the intra-court appeals next week.
The verdict had been given by IHC’s Justice Athar Minallah.
