IGP takes notice of tribesmen’s clash in Shikarpur

KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Amjad Javed Saleemi on Sunday took notice of media reports regarding an armed clash between two groups of tribesmen in Shikarpur which left two dead and three injured.

According to a statement, the IGP has sought a detailed report from the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Shikarpur about the incident.

Earlier in the day, a clash was reported between two tribes Kacha area of the city. Local police had said that armed men of Bijrani and Teghani tribes which were in old dispute.

Six people were seriously injured in cross firing and rushed to hospital for treatment. The police, after registering a case against the armed men of the two clashing tribes, had started raids for their arrest.
