ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) gained 9.28 million more votes in the recent general elections as compared to 2013, a local media outlet reported on Saturday.

The increase in the number of votes came about due to ‘electables’ joining the party. In all, they contributed approximately 4.28 million votes to the party.

Furthermore, of the total 46 electables who joined PTI, 23 succeeded in the elections, helping Imran Khan led PTI to achieve a dominant position as compared to other parties.
