Islamabad witnessed 58pc voter turnout on July 25

ISLAMABAD: The capital witnessed a 58 per cent voter turn out on July 25 which means that 445,827 residents of Islamabad cast their vote on election day.

A total of 66 candidates contested the general elections from the capital’s three constituencies; NA-52, NA-53 and NA-54.

All three National Assembly (NA) seats were won by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Raja Khurram Nawaz won NA-52, PTI Chairman Imran Khan won NA-53 and Asad Umar won NA-54.

A total of 214,526 votes in the capital were cast in favour of PTI which amounts to 48.11pc.
