HAFIZABAD: A man killed his wife and four-month-old son by throwing them in a stream over alleged domestic dispute here on Friday.
Police said that the accused, after being annoyed with his wife and arguing with her over an alleged domestic dispute, took her and the infant son to a stream near his residence in Pindi Bhattian town of Hafizabad. He then pushed them into the deep water, they added.
The woman and the minor child were swept away by the gushing water.
The rescue personnel and relatives of the victim family were searching for the body of the mother and child.
The police arrested the accused, who during the preliminary interrogation, stated that he felt ashamed of his “act taken in haste”.
The police, after registering a case against the detainee, have started the investigation.
