Firing between rival groups claims life of teenager

FAISALABAD: A teenager boy killed during the firing between two rival groups in Chak Jhumra police station precincts.

Police spokesman said here Friday that two rival groups in Chak No 157-RB indulged in a clash on the issue of celebrating the victory of a candidate.

During the clash, both groups resorted to firing into the air. However, a stray bullet hit 16-year-old passerby boy Tayyab. As a result, he received serious injuries and was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The police took the body into custody and started an investigation.

ONE KILLED, 6 HURT IN ROAD ACCIDENTS:

One person killed and six others, including two women, were injured in different road accidents here on Friday.

Rescue 1122 sources said that a speeding Mazda hit a motorcycle on Sargodha Road near Mauza Pakkaywala. As a result, wife Zubeda Bibi and her husband Mushtaq Hussain were injured seriously.

A young man, an employee of a workshop in Jhang City was hit by a speeding vehicle. He died on-the-spot.

A speeding wagon skidded due to tyre burst on Gojra Road near Quetta Hotel and turned upside down. As a result, one Mehak Shah was injured.

A wagon and an auto-rickshaw collided on Bhakhar Road near Old Bypass. As a result, three persons, Subhan wife of Ghulam Akbar, Hasnain Arshad and Abdur Rasheed were injured.

Rescue 1122 shifted the injured persons to DHQ hospital.
