GUJRAT: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and senior central leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi have paid tributes to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for holding fair and transparent election, and thanked Pakistan Army for ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for polls.

The PML-Q leaders stated this while talking to media persons in Gujrat on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Shujat Hussain said that patriotic forces should come to the fore in the election irrespective of whether Nawaz Sharif is in or out. He said that timely holding of a general election is a very good thing, adding that they have seen fair and transparent polling, regardless of what the outcome is going to be.

Parvez Elahi said that it is good to note that the voters have come out in very big number, and in their constituency, a problem surfaced regarding list of voters.
