As polling came to a close all over the country, leader of the MQM-P Farooq Sattar held an emergency presser in which he alleged that his party activists were not being allowed to vote more than once.
“This is a clear violation of election norms. Times are tough so I only have a handful of workers with me, but we were going to make up quantity with quality by really doubling down and voting a ton of times” he said to the presser.
“But then the boys started telling me that they weren’t being allowed to vote more than once because apparently they aren’t supposed to or something.”
“Who do they think they’re messing with? Do they think we haven’t ever taken part in an election before? One vote per voter. What a silly thing to even say! How would we ever win that way” he went on to add.
“I can smell a conspiracy cooking here. We have been casting multiple votes since we started our political struggle but now they are trying to silence us, but we won’t let them.”
“This matter is going to the ECP and we will appeal further if we do not get justice. This is not just for the MQM-P, this is for the sake of democracy” he ended.
